Making a film is a different job from taking photos. One good photo out of two hundred is enough, but a film has to work for every second it runs, so sound, order and pace matter as much as the picture.
That changes how we work on the day. We plan the audio before we start filming, and we shoot the in-between shots the editor needs to join scenes together, like hands, doorways and the crowd.
