Match photos taken from the edge of the field, with the focus already where the ball is going.
You can’t ask a bowler to bowl that ball again. A catch or a late shot lasts a fraction of a second, and no amount of editing brings it back if we missed it.
We watch the game closely and follow the player the ball is likely to reach. We shoot from the boundary line and stay with one player long enough to get a frame with the whole body in it.
We also take team photos, portraits and the quieter moments, like the wait between overs or the walk back to the pavilion.
